Default Where should I wake up on my 40th??

Ok.. I know i dont look old enough BUT alas it's true, In October half term Im gonna be the big FOUR OOOHHH!!!!
Son 1 is going to be away at Uni, Daughter is going to be on holiday with my mother, and Son 2 is in France on school trip with school which means little ole me stands to spend a lonely 40th UNLESS i take myself off somewhere cheap and cheerful!
Where would you reccomend? Somewhere in Europe just for a short break. Can fly from North West, quite fancy somewhere different, out of the ordinary
answers on a postcard please! (or on here if that is easier)

You should go diving with the manta rays off Borneo. That's what we're saving hard for!

Yes, guess so! Missed the 'different' requirement
How about Budapest? There is some sort of Arts festival in October, not sure if it coincides with half term though.

A couple of days in Rome

Lots of amazing sights to see.
You can sit outside in the evening sipping wine and watching the world go by.

I would recommend Rome too, Plenty to see so you wouldn't feel too lonely or bored. Barcelona's another good one.

Or you can book yourself into a Spa and treat yourself. This one has been recommended to me.

Hope you have a fab 40th whatever you do
