Can’t be too cold, there’s a bloke walking round the lake in shorts. And there’s no snow on the Brindies (how disappointing).

I will I’ll be walking 7 miles through some pretty English villages in an hour or so before it gets too hot. Thanks for the nostalgia!

YES. Great outdoors in Melbourne today. Yesterday was terrible. Ding ding the sound of trans and a beautiful winter's day. Nice city break.

We Went for a walk with the dog today, around our local park, around Coburg Lake and Merri Creek about 300 meters away.

It was quite warm in the sun actually, but as you know, at night time the temperatures plummet. It's 2 degrees here right now. I'll send you some photos of the snow when next I see it. Hope you enjoyed your walk.

We've been moving house yet again, on this 31 degree day in Liverpool. Can't believe how hot it is this summer!

The apartment we've moved into is one of three in what used to be a church, it's gorgeous. We've left the huge wood door open to let some cool air in, and next door's dalmatian keeps wandering in to say hello

Sunday, in the middle of a long weekend... we drove to the hospital a mile away to pick up some medicine and get some money from the ATM there, then to the Post Office in town close by to collect our mail from the P O Box (no street deliveries here. A couple of bank statements in the box - nobody else mails stuff any more. Then home, exhausted from such a hectic time. Retirement in the Caribbean isn't always as busy as it was today, thank goodness...

Sitting at my work desk in Brisbane enjoying a break from NOT being at Bunnings and reflecting on the future need for a face mask when doing serious woodworking.

The contents of my nose must be at least 60% sawdust.

I reckon here in Australia we must spend half our bloody lives in Bunnings. The photos I took yesterday were taken on the way home from Bunnings. I bought some door handles and locks for the door I'm getting fitted to separate off our rumpus room and one of the bathrooms from the rest of the house so we can turn it into a studio/granny flat. Decided to leave the sawdust snorting to a woodworker/cabinet maker.
