After 4.5 weeks of holidays I'm back to work in the city today. I can't honestly say I've missed Perth CBD (or Perth in general), though I have managed to avoid Bunnings since being back in Australia.

Decided to leave the sawdust snorting to a woodworker/cabinet maker.
It would be interesting to know what the average spend per person per year is at Bunnings. I go there at least once a week and probably spend a couple of grand a year

LOL, we had only been back in Australia for 24 hours before my husband decided he needed to go to Bunnings (on our recent holiday). I think he went maybe 5 times in our 4 weeks there. Mind you, I’m almost as bad, I went to Ikea twice in that time!

I easily spend a couple of grand per year there, but it'll be closer to $5k this year. Been doing heaps of work and have a fair bit more still to do.

We haven't been to Ikea once since we moved to Australia nearly 8 years ago. Got too memories of tediously navigating our way around London's North Circular to the Ikea in Wembley only to find it was a complete waste of time.

Much easier out at the airport, literally 5 minutes from home and never a waste of time for me! It takes me an hour here to one of 3 equidistant options.

Yeah for you it's just over the hill. A bit further for us. After 3 rental hops we ended up buying a house near Belco. It's still easy to drive anywhere in the ACT where the old rule of thumb still applies

Have put our car up for sale, so while we've still got it we went to Morrisons to stock up on groceries for the rest of the month. Here's hoping for a quick sale, less than 4 weeks now till we leave for Oz.
