Default When you are researching your move to Oz

Do you find that you say to yourself "I'm just going to research blah, blah, blah on the internet for half an hour" before disappearing for hours and hours on end?

My poor husband and son have been virtually ignored all day. The dinner is burnt and I have a sore back from sitting at the puter all day!!

Glass of wine anyone?

Hi - *stands up* my names Perthfect and I'm a research-a-holic...

Only last night OH was watching cricket, so laptop comes out "I'm just checking if anyones got their sponsorship/visa/med's cleared etc etc....... *insert whatever paranoid reason I've not used for a few days*

I next look up and he's gone to bed and I'm sat in the dark! What's even worse is my glass is empty and there's no-one around to re-fill it for me!!

I once threw up after too much cider when I was about 17, I think it was all over a boy called Gary, all I can remember is my erm, honour was preserved so it must've done the trick!!

Now pear cider...that's different....

Anyway...back to the research......

Before we moved out, I dropped the girls at school and got home. Cleared the kitchen up and went to the PC to do some research (and BE surfing obviously). Next minute a friend turned up, did I want a lift to school for pick up Six flaming hours - no food, no liquids, just 'researching'. It's scary.

That's the internet for ya. What would we all do without it these days?

To think some people still don't have a p.c beggars belief

i do it with everything. i google all sorts, especially now i am in oz, like what the meanings of some ozzie words are, or the history of adelaide etc. I am on my lap top most of my waking, non-working hours. I think thats why my eyesight has got so bad lately. My eyes have gone lap top shaped.
