Well very late last night (or was it early this morning?), the phone rang and I could hear voices singing 'Happy birthday'.

Totally confused and wondering where the hell I was, I said 'You are going to have to tell me who this is?'

'Its me' Said a voice.

'Im sorry, but I don't recognise you, who is it?' I asked laughing.

'Its me' This Aussie voice said again.

Then it twigged, it was Agent 007 - The Lombard!

'Is that The Lombard?'

'Yes, its me!' The Lombard replied.

So we had a very nice chat about medicals, LCU and stuff and although our meds havent been processed yet, I did at least have Agent 007 The Lombard singing to me on my birthday (or was it a recording George? :rofl:)

Mr PP and I could not get back to sleep after that. Especially when I spotted my Namibia book on the bed and started thinking about lions, leopards, cheetah and gemsbok to name but a few.

I got myself so worked up and excited about Namibia, I gave myself a headache and had to take Night Nurse.

Could I sleep? Could I heck as like. I then started thinking about the Namib Desert, the local beers and stuff.

And by the time I did get to sleep, it was 3am so I now have eyes like piss holes in the snow and am still thoroughly over excited about Africa.

'You ring me when the visa gets in, doesn't matter what time of night or day it is' I said to The Lombard.

'I will' He promised.

Thanks though George, it was brilliant and I am still laughing about it this morning and Mr PP found it very funny:D


I am going now, I still feel sick with excitement and I reckon I am going to have to go to my GP to get something to calm me down because I do fear that the lions and cheetah may take over my head and I will be sectioned under the Mental Health Act.

I must say when I heard The Lombard this morning, I allowed myself to dream of him saying we had the visa.

Even though I knew realistically it is impossible as LCU havent even seen our meds.

I am bloody tired today though, I can never sleep after The Lombard calls and then I start getting over excited.

Tonight I shall have an early night, birthday over and done with so not expecting any calls or anything.

I cant even concentrate today.:rofl:

He has got quite a sexy voice though, I shall tell you that now and I am not the only Expat who thinks that (of the female variety I must add).
