It's a spider. Everything in Australia is a spider. Unless it has no legs. Then, it's a snake. Sometimes things with two legs are also snakes, however to kill one of the two legged snakes can result in a lengthy jail sentence as opposed to the fine and bad publicity that comes from killing a legless snake. An understanding that everything in Australia is either a spider or a snake will facilitate the identification of all creatures encountered in everyday life. Initially, I thought this creature was a moth, but I realise now it is a spider dressed up as a moth. Do not let it in your house. It will build webs around your lights.

Or a lizard!

Hubby was out in the van at work a little while ago & asked one of the guys what a creature slowly plodding past was. Hubby knew it was a lizard of sorts but wanted to know what type of lizard but a lizard is a lizard. If it has 4 legs instead of the 2 or none like the snake/legless snake then it's a lizard
