I hate the way kids are taught to use stupid jargon phrases of speech here. I particularly dislike the way my then 6 year old had would say I have to learn to be more "self responsible" and that in my 9 year olds class they don't discuss their work, they "conference" it!!

I also don't like "sedgeway" never heard it before I came here.

I have a personal hatred of the largely American custom of over-using someone's first name - such as when someone uses your name in every sentence while talking to you. I always liked the old Scandanavian belief that names are a kind of personal magic toekn, and over-use of the name wears out the magic.

Yep: segue

I think it's pronounced by the NPRers as sedge-way.

The most annoying and overused word for me is AWESOME

Oh and people how say "hello?" (inferring that someone else is stoopid) with that stoopid expression on their own faces

Mine have to be "self managed" and are not pupils of the school, they are "learners"... I find it all rather amusing actually

A segue is a musical expression and it means moving from one piece of music to another....mine of useless info!

My least favourite expression is "like"- like you know, those phases like the kids like thesedays like use a lot like...

As a kid in Northern Ireland every sentence ended in 'so I did', e.g.

I went to the shops so I did. Then I bought some sweets so I did.

Luckily I had it beaten out of me in primary school so I did.
