Similar thing for me, group of us hired a minibus in November 1980, saw Jon Anderson (of Yes fame) on his solo tour at the Oxford Apollo. Truly brilliant night.

I know where most of us ended up - one of the guys has sadly passed away now, most of the rest are married - and very respectable...apart from me, and the one that I had a reunion with shortly before coming to Aus

Saw Gifford and Tilbrook ... or is it Tifford and Gilbrook? Dunno ... I'm pissed ... anyway ... saw them do an acoustic set in a tent at either Glastonbury 95 or Reading ... one of the best gigs I've seen. Total singalong good-time vibes
