Would you believe, masochistic as I am, actually contemplating going to the UK 
Just put the suggestion to The Geek the other day as we were flying into Bali (manipulative, moi? 
)
It would be our third trip back there this year but I recently lost my Mum, my dad is not so well, and my mentally-ill sister is totally lost and bewildered. She and my nieces have lost the lynchpin of their lives.
I know it will totally do my head in but I just feel the need. Will be checking availabilty of pet sitter and flights when we get back to Sydney next week.

My folks arrive in two weeks and they head back to UK on 5th Dec so we'll have early Christmas with them and then OH folks have this Christmas in UK (they alternate) so we'll do Christmas by ourselves and then do it all again when OH folks arrive late January! (They're a bit concerned when I start on the fizz for breakfast Christmas morning, only slowly of course but it's my family tradition to have bubbles with smoked salmon breakfast! )
Busy time of year irrigating spuds so we're working for a fair bit of it but no doubt there will be some river skiing and lots of beer drinking.
Really can't wait - started Christmas shopping yesterday
and then do it all again when OH folks arrive late January! I'll be doing a rather passable impersonation of a beached whale, sweating my proverbials off and making it known to all who will listen that I'm uncomfortable and it's Mr GG's fault. I'll be 38 weeks pregnant and looking forwards to the new year, when I'll get a much better present than I'm expecting for Christmas.
