We lived in Horbury whats the christmas lights like in Wakey?
Now on the sunshine coast near Noosa, really love it here!
I will miss family, local pub,and a colder christmas but not for long, the sun ocean and beach help! it really does feel wierd with a christmas tree up in the house when its 30c!

Lights are dire, council cost cutting, some lovely cheesy one dotted around on the houses. Pubs empty 'cos you can't smoke in them anymore and it's too cold to go outside. We're heading to somewhere north of Brissie, very soon i hope

My kids and grandchildren who will probably be freezing their little bits off back in crappy Wakefield. Hopefully they will be able to come over next year and spend Xmas with us (even though they will have to go back).
Don't miss the trudging round in the dark and rain trying to get the shopping done and watching all the other miserable buggers trying to do the same
Loz x

Re: What will you miss this christmas?
- It feeling like a proper christmas (doesn't feel very festive in 40 degree heat sitting inside with the air con cranked up).
- My family.
- The tradition of the day (in a family sense not biblical).
- My brother always throwing a wobbly on the day.
- Decent Christmas telly.
- The build up to the day.
- All the chrissy parties where someone inevitably makes a fool of themselves. Christmas Eve being a big celebration in itself.
- Being tucked up all warm and cosy inside against the freezing cold outside.
- Eating til you are so overful then a brisk pissed walk in that freezing cold late afternoon to work it off a bit LOL!
- Playing board games and dancing stupidly around the lounge with older members of my family who should know better.
- The full, big old Christmas dinner with about five courses!
I defeintely won't miss the horrendous queues in Tesco a week or two before chrissy. And the stupid, mad dash for everyone to buy the latest must have toy for their child.

I'll miss my parents - first Christmas apart in 43 years (my lifetime)
My friends.
The cold, but I'm saying only that because I'm not in it It will be very strange to have a warm Christmas and we're trying to decide whether to go for a picnic in the Grampians or down on the Beach. Wow life is tough sometimes
TTFN,
Karen
