Question What will/do you NOT miss from the UK?

It's interesting to see what people do miss from the UK, but what are the things that people won't/don't miss?

The bloody A140 shitty road, get stuck behind a tractor and you're stuffed for up to about 20 miles in places and they're forever doing roadworks on bits of road that don't need fixing !!!
Takes you hours to get in and out of Norfolk cause it's mostly single carriageway.

Fireworks that go on almost contantly from October to February !!!! By all means have fireworks for fireworks night and new year but nearly every damn night imbetween, aggravating f****** get right on my t***

Looking out nearly every morning to grey sky or worse

Ridiculous petrol prices, no we can't all JUST get a bus. I'd like to see Gordon Brown get a bus everywhere.

Speaking of which I know no minister is perfect but I won't miss his spitting image looking miserable mug.

My husbands family - I won't miss them at all in fact i'll be glad to be shot of the lot of them and I hope in time they realise they f***** up !!!

Apprently phone and internet is as bad if not worse out there but I won't miss BT or SkY bloody idiots that work there.

The Chavs in Norwich and Gt Yarmouth. The BA barracus look IS NOT IN and you look bloody stupid with all that jewellery on a hat offcentre and when you're over a size 18 it does not look flattering to put a belt under your bust with a SHORT t shirt on regardless of how much that look is in fashion at the moment.

The cold whistling through my front door or down the chimney.

Having to de - ice the car or desperately try and get the temperature right to clear the windscreen.

Won't miss the miserable cows from the down the post office, yes I do sell stuff on ebay and no I don't need you rolling your eyes as if it to say here she comes again snotty sods.

I won't miss the crappy awful excuse for parks - they're empty most the time cause they're so boring the kids don't want to play there you can only go down a slide so many times and use one of two swings when sharing with other kids before it gets boring. Parks on the whole in Australia put ones in this country to shame and I thought there was a good mis of things for ALL ages.

Won't miss my neighbours!

Won't miss the moss and green mould the latter of which is almost imposssible to get rid of by Spring.

Icy roads, black ice patches - driving or walking in the eithe rof those.

Excorcist weather ughhh nearly always when hubby is on nights - not comforting.

Having to drop everything for my brother to fit us in for a visit for 30 - 45 minutes once a year at their convenience.

Getting pressure to go visit my grandmother, she doesn't remember our names half the time and she never remembers we visited anyway, besides it scares our youngest son cause she keeps pulling at him and calling him that boy.

Boggy back garden that the kids can't use between end of October and March - literally you do sink in it and then by summer you fall into foot size pot holes.

Fogged up windows in the morning.

Two of my friends who I only ever hear from when they want something, it doesn't go both ways.

Cbeebies - mind numbing crap that we can't seem to completely wean our 4yr old off yet - anyone else think Andy comes across as a real weirdo?

I know ppl will jump on me for this but I just can't watch a WHOLE EVENING of children in need.

Eastenders
Coronation Street
Emmerdale and the other crappy UK soaps.

I don't enjoy strictly come dancing (Sorry)

Embaressing bodies - ughh which from the episode I saw resembles an awful porn program designed to turn you off the opposite sex not on.

I can't think of anything else at the moment

The M25 regular journeys on this where it was more a 4 lane car park than a motorway

barbecues in the rain so cold and charred meat due to not enough barbecue experience

Butlins a few nightmare holidays with the kids probably just bad luck.

slush after snow

Great post Jen!

I really really don't miss the A23 after an accident at Handcross Hill (3 hours to get to work one day) and anything to do with snow, cold, ice, fog, dark nights (well apart from Xmas when you can actually see the fairy lights) roads not been gritted when there is the gritting depot with loads of grit just sitting there not being used!

Its ok I thought of more....

I won't miss hubby working night shift (can't believe I forgot this first time round)
I won't miss the kids being ill, or teething, or having nightmares when he's on night shift!!!
I won't miss him working til half 10 getting home and then wanting to chill out and watch tv or play bloody mafia wars til nearly midnight
I won't miss the kids asking me what shift he'll be working.
I won't miss having to try and keep at least one and more often than not 4 kids quiet while he sleeps all morning
I won't miss going to watch my son play football in crappy awful weather, where even the waterproof and windproof coats struggle to be wind and waterproof, where if you stand still long enough you sink into the edge of the pitch!!!!!!
I won't miss my sandy coloured suede effect sofa (well thats partially a lie cause it's a very comfy corner sofa) but when you're baby chews on it and it leaves gooby stains, your kids put sticky handprints on it and basically dirt is drawn to it and it's impossible to keep clean ughhhhh.
I won't miss trying to move my lounge round to try and make a space for the 7 ft tree I insisted we had to have 2 years ago
I won't mis the little back roads that you get diverted down whenever there's an accident, the signs disappear after the first mile and if you don't have sat nav in the car you have to follow the other cars in the hopes one of em knows where the hell they're going

Won't miss my shower, there's not room to swing a bloody cat in there.
An the bath isn't much better - JenJen would like a spa bath please please please

Don't worry i'm sure there's more

You really are having a bad few days aren't you hon

In no particular order, my list would be:

One set of neighbours
Defrosting the car first thing
Grey bone numbing chilly rain that looks harmless but you're soaked through in seconds
Tesco's
Next
Trying to park in Waitrose, Harpenden at any time during the month of December
My mother
My uncle
Husbands working hours
Majority of UK TV. Don't care what anyone else says, the crap here is no different from the crap there
My family treating me like a social worker and expecting me to sort out all their problems (oh hang on, they still do, but now I have to do with whilst only knowing half the story and living 12,000 miles away)

Apart from that lot, there's absolutely nothing wrong with England, wonderful place

I don't miss the English lording it about as if they own the place. At least here they're colonists like the rest of us. Only trouble is that here it's the natives who think they own the place.

No, it's over priced crap, there are too many shops, too many women who don't have the imagination to go elsewhere and therefore don't attempt to look different from every other female walking around. Everyone wears the same shit and the catalogue is rubbish, the clothes and shoes never fit the models. I also hate the fact that every child in the country looks the same and the parents never experiment with the outfits, they dress the kids exactly how the catalogue does and I hate hate hate hate it with a passion.

And b r e a t h................
