clowns.
mainly pennywise or that one from under the bed in poltergeist.

ask me the question as a grown up, and you'll get the same answer, but I'd throw in that girl from The Ring too. the freaky little bitch.

Teachers, girls and being picked for football. Even though I love football I was never any good at it and was very short.

Long before the days of recycling...we had a dustbin of course but also a slops bin (or pig bin).

I can't remember how often the bloke who collected it came to the house but....Mum would say, "The pig man is coming."

I'd run upstairs and hide! I was only 4.

Good god I'd completely forgotten about that. Read this and the smell immediately came back.

Spiders, my grandad; he was very big and very imposing, any meal if carrots were involved; a long drawn out process where I'd sit there crying, gagging on them and the mother not letting me leave the table until I'd eaten them.

The alsation guard dog chained up at the coal yard.... Had to walk past it one the way to the sweet shop... OR go about a mile off route round the wreck to avoid it...

what scared you as a child?-oconnell-arms.jpeg This is one of the pubs I was raised in.The front room on the second floor used to scare me. I just knew there was something in there that was going to get me.I had to pass it on the landing to get to the next floor where we lived. It was pretty creepy at the age of four.
