Mosquitoes serve a vital ecological function. The larvae, pupae, and adults are important as food for fish, birds, bats, frogs, and insects. So there, they need US as food so that they can be food for all the other things that need them to survive. Top of the food chain my a$$!! Siren |

My pet theory is that mosquitoes have evolved over many geologic periods reaching their collective destiny in our lifetime - to annoy the hell out of Arkon.

Suzanne "Mosquito saliva contains molecules which prevent clotting and also dilates blood vessels without side effects, as opposed to current medication." There you go. |

You asked for it.... :p Cockroaches as a group are part of the worldwide food web. They are omnivore scavengers which clean up our environment and help recycle the organic litter that would accumulate if it were not decomposed by organisms which include cockroaches. Furthermore they serve as food for small mammals, birds, amphibians and lizards. There are over 3000 species of cockroaches and only 10 species are on the World Health Organization list of human pests. The other 3000 species are welcome members of the biodiversity on this planet. Man.. I dunno how ABCD does it! This is hard work folks! LOL Siren |
