What did you do before you left for Oz?

What did you do before you left for Oz?
I was just wondering if anyone did any special stuff before they left, or if you are planning anything? So far im thinking about T in the park in the summer and Darren is planning to go and see Rangers play in Valencia in March. Did you have weekends away with friends or family or go to see any concerts? I just want to try and do something special before we leave and im looking for inspiration

We had a trip to Preston jsut before Xmas to see Go West and stayed in a hotel for the weekend. Only other thing we are going to do now is have a HUUUUGE party for all our Aunt's, Uncle's friends etc and take my MIL out for a jolly good chinese meal.

I saw as many friends as I possibly could, went up in a glider over Kent, hopped over to France for the day, visited my favourite art galleries...would have done a lot, lot more but everything was a mad rush at the end, packing up, finishing off work, selling my house, tying up loose ends. Upset a few people because I didn't spend as much time with them as I would have liked.

I went on a holiday back packing through Italy by myself.. just to get some space and perspective on what we were doing. Bl**dy best holiday I've ever had...
Then I came back, went to a Morrissey concert, it was very good, and something I never thought I would get the chance to do (he doesnt tour that much)
then I turned out the lights in my flat, handed the keys to the agent. Stepped in a very expensive Black Cab and said... Driver take me to Heathrow....(I didnt tip him.. and how I laughted at his face...)

I was 40 just before we came so tied it all in together - went to Amsterdam, huge BBQ party for my birthday, leaving do, 4 week holiday over here before coming for good 5 weeks later, dived the reef off cairns for my wifes 40th birthday (cool) and basically met up with as many people as possible for mucho booze
