what a crap place Perth is.
Been here 17 yrs now, was bored after one,however very difficult to return once you have a house and 5 kids.I would describe it as the worlds biggest open air prison,a police state with draconian traffic laws,full of second generation drug users who are at best semi literate.The weather is crap, except for autumn.THE SUMMER IS STINKING HOT and bloody windy, the wind makes the beach unusable 6 days out of 7, unless you are a camel that is.You cannot eat outside, biting flies by day and mosquitos by night.Socialising means a bbq where everyone drinks vast quantities and fall off their chairs.
There is nowhere to go unless you spend hours and hours in a car ,traveling through the most boring sunburnt terrain you can possibly imagine and when you arrive at your destination its importance has usually been grossly overstated by West Australians, because they have seen nothing better.
Food is getting incredibly expensive boxes of cereals can cost up to 8 dollars decent bread 3.50 a loaf.beans 1.30 etc etc,yes petrol is half the price but its twice as far to get anywhere and all at ludicrously low speed limits.
