What chores do you do around the house?...

... do you share them with your hubby/partner, or do you do them all?

I do EVERYTHING and always have. To be fair, the hubster has done his 5 year college/uni stint, then always worked full time, so I stayed at home with the kids and done all the housework/cooking etc - which I think is fair enough and I have no problems with that. :)

I do think it is unfair if both are working but only one pulls their weight around the house :sneaky:

p.s - I work part time and still find myself doing all the house work, but I am here the most so seems the best way.

 Is this on from the ironing thread?!

I do minimal chores, very minimal. My hubby works full time, cooks, cleans and does all the DIY/odd jobs etc. I look after a 7 month old girl and just turned 2 year old boy. I do some bits, I tidy, make beds, dishwasher etc but no where near as much as he does.

But as has been said I am bad wife when it comes to household chores, but supposedly I can suck the white off rice so it's all ok! :D

Aren't you a lucky girl then. My hubby works full time, but doesn't do any house work/cleaning/cooking/ tidying up. He does make breakfast every weekend though, which I love

We share.

Apart from the hoovering which I detest so hubby does that (not that we have many carpets so not much hoovering needs doing). Whereas he hates cleaning the bathroom so I always do that.

For cleaning, ironing, washing, emptying disher, hanging out clothes, cooking etc either of us will do it or we'll do it together. Works for us.

I do none if I can help it as life is too short for housework but sometimes I crack when some one runs a finger through the dust.

I am totally spoilt at home, I don't work and I'm a part time single parent with 3 kids. Hubby is away for over 4 weeks then home for just over 3 normally. When he's away I do it all, not very well but it gets done and aslong as the kids are clean, dressed, fed and in school I think I'm doing well! then he comes home and totally takes over, I don't get a look in, it used to annoy me cos it offended me that he didn't think I did things right or well enough but I've come to realise he just can't help himself and needs to keep busy.

He's home next week after being away for the last 7 weeks  and I can't wait cos he's a diamond! ;)

Re: What chores do you do around the house?...

Mr PP does all the cooking and I do the housework. I dont like him doing housework as he doesnt do it as I like it.

He comes home from work and cooks a meal, every weekend I do the housework and if he is at home I send him out so I can get on with it.

Works well for us.
