What better way to spend $200,000....
WTF??!!!
This month Brisbane Marketing is preparing to launch its new brand to entice people into the CBD called ...The City.
Brisbane City Council's finance committee this morning heard the new brand will cost about $200,000 funded from a levy on mall traders.
Finance chairman Cr Adrian Schrinner told the committee that in determining the new brand, a survey found most people referred to the city as, well, the city.
Queen Street Mall Advisory Committee chairman Phillip Di Bella said while it may seem simplistic to some at first, he expected the new brand to be extremely well received. "It's a lot sharper," Mr Di Bella said. "It's a freshen up."

You could buy part of the London Olympic branding which cost £400k apparently and looks like
