What are the best Brisbane or SE QLD markets?
In your opinion, what's the best market for arty / crafty stuff and does it get decent crowds? Just doing a bit of market research.
Eumundi I like. What about Carrara, Rockleigh, West End, South Bank etc etc?
Ta muchly.

I love West End. Great fresh produce and some good arts and crafts.

I don't know about Carrara but I share the same sentiments as Moneypenny re Rockleigh! LOL

Aren't all markets shit? If the stuff they sold was any good they'd have a shop.

Many artists make very little profit on their limited creations ... and there just isn't enough profit to pay the rent on a shop, so they take their goods to market and just pay the price of a stall.
And, you can find some real treasures amongst other people's trash at the market. (Things that, again, would cost too much in rent for a shop.) I got a lovely Royal Albert cup for $2 recently. Worth much more.

Didn't realise you had stalls. Agree about the fruit and veg. Certainly no arty crafty stalls worth looking at that the OP was after. Reminds me of Bovingdon Market in the UK. That place could do with being razed to the ground.

went to west end market on the back of the tip in this forum - and it was really good! it was very different to cleveland etc
pretty vibrant , very hippy chic, cosmopolitan - really cool.
cleveland market is quite nice for a sunday morning stroll - its a closed street in cleveland town centre , has about 70 stalls - mix of food, eclectic stuff, etc raby bay is right there for a coffee on the marina / waterside afterwards or go down to the lighthouse at cleveland point for a coffee its a nice place to visit for a sunday morning.

Thanks for all the replies. West End it is then.
If anybodies interested, the Vintage Fashion Fair is on at Eagle Farm racecourse this Friday and Saturday. We went last time and would recommend it.
