Hi there

Northside is really nice, Bridgeman Downs, Aspley, Albany Creek and Warner. It's about 30 mins to CBD and not far from the coast as well.

Cheers.

If you want to be 30 mins away, rent somewhere near a train line or busway or resign yourself to inner city living (Bulimba, New Farm are lovely). Brisbane traffic is horrific at peak times and parking in the city very expensive- my 10K journey takes about an hour on the bus from south side.
