Anybody but Murray! Who's the other guy?
Just cause YOU support the scots don't mean the SCOTS have to support the english.

I think never has something been blown out of all proportion as much as that comment made by Andy Murray. I wonder which newspaper was involved?

It's hard to believe people are still fixated on it.

If you are saying that he didn't say it then I take back my comment.

Or, is this your way of saying, Murray can say he doesn't support England but I shouldn't say I don't support him?

Say what you mean and don't use judgemental language like "it's hard to believe people are still fixated on it". Actually join the debate. In a public forum it's so easy to drop in with a grenade.

Now I'm being judgemental, aren't I?

Relax!

My understanding is that Andy Murray's comments were taken out of context by a certain newspaper & the rest is history.

Listen to Tim Henman's version of events. He says they were sledging Murray about Scotland not qualifying for the world cup, and Murray's response about England seems just like a continuation of that tongue in cheek conversation.

All involved are pretty surprised that it now gets Murray branded an England hater or racist!

Sorry, but 'banter' is no longer allowed. Any attempt at 'banter' is to be considered racist, or sexist, or some other ist.
Have a word with Andy Gray about it.

I'm not Go Silent D Jokovic.

Why didn't he just shout "Bannockburn"? Most English would say "who" to that.

The guy lives in England has an english girlfriend and has played Davis Cup for GB, so how can people say he is an england hater. Boring. Go Andy.

I'm sure he's a great player, however he's a grumpy bugger and has zero personality (or is unable or unwilling to show it). It's hard to support someone like that, whatever the nationality. My opinion only obviously.
