Those that read my posts (OK, no-one then! ) will know that we have been umming and aggghing wether to go East or West. WE decided for 'definite' a few weeks ago that it would be West.

Guess what? It's now 'East'................give me strength, I think I need it!

lol Fluffy and Lesley, your comments sound just like my ever frequent chats with OH, east or west but now seen Adelaide and Tasmania HELP!!!!!!! I also wonder why everyone says Sunshine Coast. Any answers out there? Good luck Corinne x

think its less tourist and houses are cheaper because of this more space ive been told lesley

its really difficult to try and get a "feel" for a place half way round the world

i strongley suggest that you book a hotel / resort etc for 6 weeks and have a good look round before making the decison

I think you are having same problem as us. Brisbane was tops reccie there last August, then I liked Sunshine coast (yes me too) not sure on work situation though, then I jumped to Tasmania now I am in Cairns.

Definately need a good camper van

There's a lot more crime and trouble on the Gold Coast, Going by the local news. We picked Brisbane because it's only 1 hour from both the Gold Coast and the Sunshine Coast. But I suggest you take a good look for yourself at all of the options. Good luck wherever you choose

Cairns. I love Cairns. My friend who loves Sydney since he emmigrated 4 years ago is on holiday to Cairns at the mo and his called and texted time and again and he is raving about the place. He went there backpacking in the early 90's and his shocked at the change.

When we EVENTUALLY move out there I'd love to live up there, luckily the other half liked it a lot as well.

My dad is a big fan of Cairns too they have spent many a summer touring Australia by boat and train but his heart belongs in Cairns he did want to retire there so it would make his day if we moved there preferably to a house with a granny/grandad flat trouble is we would never get rid of them.

However after retiring from living and working in Bahrain they have just moved to Spain closer to England incase my nan is ill..... having problems with her heart.
