Gosh, is this true: http://www.theage.com.au/national/it...0905-4ah6.html .

Can't imagine anywhere being worse than winter in Melbourne.

Cheers,

Well, as I woke up this morning to yet another grey & wet day, I think the answer would have to be yes!:(

Well I never, Agent 007 The Lombard in 'our neck of the woods'

Best you don't stay in the Barbie for too long Mr Lombard or you might get sucked into the cyberworld and end up like us, spending hours and hours on here while drinking beer and believing that your cyberpals really are witches/fairies etc.

And once in, it is not easy to get out - just ask Barry the Camp TRA Man and Duncan DIAC from the stories.;)

As for the weather, I am loving it here - although the flies and the Perth summer is yet to greet me.

I'd have to agree with you there.
Never thought I'd find myself saying this but I am actually missing the Perth weather - crikey did I really say that. oh my goodness!!

Never mind I am going back in just over 2 weeks to see my beautiful Grandson and so lap up some Perth Spring, which has just got to be better than this year in the UK, its been horrid and I love the UK!

My sister lives in Cold Lake. -60 with wind chill too cold to register in the 23.5 hours of dark is par for the course.

New expat here. Not new expat but new to the forum
Love the Uk but the weather :curse::curse:
Trying to find my spot to settle in Australia and so far Perth wins for capitals cities and good weather. Melbourne is just way too cold and grey. Feels too much like the uk
