British Expats - Vinyl records?????

Vinyl records?????

G'day all

Does anyone know of places around the Sydney - Wollongong areas that I can get hold of vinyl records. I realise this probably makes me a bit of a dinosaur, but they do sound better than cd (just my opinion)

Also Rega dealers if there is such a thing out here, I need a new belt for my turntable

Some people will probably to drag myself into the 21st century, but to be honest I'm not in the mood at the mo, just read about the attempted assassination of Ronald Regan, what's this world of ours coming to???

Any advice from like minded folks gratefully received:)

I was watching a programme not long ago and they did a test to see which format the best quality... vinyl, cd or tape.

Vinyl won :thumbsup:

Quite right too, when you get over here I'll let you know where to get em too :) I did hear a nasty rumour that a load of vinyl got dumped in the sea to get ppl to buy cd's sent a shiver down my spine:curse:

My Rega Planer 3 was dead on arrival after the trip from the Mother Country. I took it to some lazy-arsed hi-fi repair shop in Perth who had to get a new belt for it from the East Coast. Then they tell me the motor had gone. More expense and delay as they had to send off for it to Rega UK.

Records? If you don't mind feeling the sting of profit being made from your P&P and the Paypal transaction then try eBay. There are a handful of second hand record shops in Perth. I don't see how Sydney could be worse. Try the online version of Yellow Pages. Try Garage sales. Try Google as well.

I has a record player for Christmas...

I kept all my old records from my teens and they arrived here safe & sound ... and still in alphabetical order!! ( OCD!!)

I love Vinyl...:wub:
