Hey Mr Viber...viber keeps losing my SMS messages.

Notification shows up on the home screen, I know who it's from but it's never added to the conversation thread. Annoying!

Re: Viber - anyone tried it?!

viber used to be great. i used it to keep in contact with the OH while I was in teh UK. making a call from a car park in swindon using dodgy 3G to australia was crystal clear with no real lag.
For some reason since, viber has gone downhill with each update. Compatibility between older version of iOS (iphone) is poor and the message bank has a mind of its own. I've moved back to Skype and WhatsApp. If Viber makes a comeback I will use it again as it was great, but currently its gathering dust.

This seems to be common feedback in their app store reviews. I'll let the people who's messages are getting lost know to install WhatsApp instead.

I use WhatsApp to keep in touch with my son in the UK. It's worked great so far.

I haven't used it much for calls, but Tango seems to work ok the few times I've used it

Hi,
This is a known issue to us, and we're working hard this very moment to fix it (it should be fully resolved in the upcoming Viber 2.1.4)
Make sure you upgraded to 2.1.3 - it addressed some of the source to this problem.

@In Exile -
We are aware that Viber has been having some problems since the release of 2.1.x, but I wouldn't say it's gone downhill. We've improved our sound engine, we're added brand new features overall our number of users has gone up dramatically. If you're having tech issues with Viber, please let me know. That's why I'm here - to help ;)

Re: Viber - anyone tried it?!

I have 2.1.3 - still losing most of the messages - all unless Viber is specifically open at the time.

Thanks for the report.
I kindly ask you to report this problem to our support team - it may help speed up the fixing of the problem, since we're trying to find a specific scenario for the problem's occurrence.

If you have any more questions/suggestions, please let me know, as usual :)
