Just wondering if marmite fans are tucking into vegemite, or anyone new to vegemite that has developed a taste for it on entering Oz?
Is it even LIKE marmite? PP Marmite fan x Vegemite = same taste but less harsh (easier to consume IMO). |

for aussies generaly..it is either vegemite..or marmite....some do love marmite...and some hate it..some love vegemite and hate it...
i grew up on vegemite...probably have had it at least once a day in my life..except now..where i can't buy it!! there are many health benefits to vegemite...high in Bvitamins etc..not too sure about the break down of marmite..hmmm ;) some trivia! Did You Know? 22.7 million jars of Vegemite are manufactured in Australia every year - that's 235 jars per minute. 30 jars are sold in Australia for every one exported. Vegemite is in nine out of ten pantries in Australia. |

Re: Vegemite...
I don't think vegemite tastes anything like Marmite.
It has not got as strong a taste. Don't dislike vegemite but given the choice would much rather have Marmite. |
