I seem to remember reading somewhere on here that they're good unless customs opens the bags. Your stuff will be big again and won't fit back into the box/carton it came out of.

From our experience I would say don't bother. We tried 2 different types of bags and found that neither kept the air sealed in properly. Waste of time.

We used a few of them for duvets, towels, and ski jackets for shipping, and had no problem at all. Customs aren't interested in these things anyway. They're more interested in wooden objects, anything that may contain plant seeds, and shoes. Yes they opened all our boxes that contained shoes.

We went through 2 different kinds until we found ones that worked. They were from Dunelm Mills

Ahh fond memories of OH and me rolling about the floor, fighting the Dyson for custody of the bags and their contents

If you do a search for posts by Larissa, she used lots of them, very successfully, I seem to remember.
