Uk television

We fly out in 5 days time and my missus has realised how much she is gonna miss her soaps, Corry, Eastenders, Emmerdale, Hollyoaks. Is it true that you can watch them over there, any help on this is much appreciated

You can watch most if not all on cable TV, altho I think they run behind, could be a year or so ?!?!

Or! ... you can download them all on www.uknova.com the day after they're aired.

Hope that's of some use.

Anyone tell me how to sign up to these sites? Do we need an invite from a member? If so I'd be grateful if someone could throw an invite my way as my wife would love to catch up on the soaps.

Cheers

Re: Uk television

Given that the average broadband contract here in Oz is slow, extortionately priced and has a limited download I can think of better things to use that limit on than downloading Corrie and Eastenders !!

Well you can get a 20mbps, unlimited download, free router and no connection charge, from O2 in the UK for less than a tenner a month.
Point me in the direction of a similar plan in Oz and I will snap their hands off.

Somewhat puts your "OK price" for Exetel into perspective though.

But the price is ok when you compare it with other broadband companys in Australia,

Are you saying you should be paying the same price for petrol as they do in the uk,

somethings cost more somethings cost less,
swings and roundbouts,

Its OK when compared with other companies in Oz, but all that does is reinforce my original comment that broadband here is extortionately priced.

To the OP, as well as UKNova / TheBox etc you need an application like Vuze to manage the downloads and also some codecs to make them work properly. I always recommend ffdshow from here:
