The Aus recession seems to be having problems getting started or gaining momentum 
All this other serious news, is stuffing the financial negativity.... Next thing you know the world will be in recovery mode and Aus will have totally missed the boat.

House buyers look for bargains
House buyers are returning to the property market looking to pick up bargains following recent house price falls, research shows.
The Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors said new buyer enquiries had now risen for three months in a row - the first time this has happened since the end of 2006.
Seven out of 10 surveyors think lower house prices are responsible for the growth in interest, while 48% believe buyers think the bottom of the market is now in sight.
The group said that while the Halifax and Nationwide house price indexes showed a fall of around 20% since house prices peaked in 2007, many surveyors think the drop in transaction prices is closer to 30%.
Existing homeowners are the main source of the increased interest, with 74% of surveyors saying they are driving the jump in enquiries, while 38% have seen a pick up in interest from investors.
I read this today - maybe things are starting to look up? Until people start getting the confidence back that we had kicked out of us by the media, it will be a slow recovery though.
