Its true the up-side down thingy, my friends an family over in oz had their uk tv's upside down for yonks before they sussed how to set them up to oz standards.
On the plus side though, a blokes mate who knows a bloke who has a friend who lives next door to this guy that used to work with a woman whose husbands friends mates best pal knew somebody who assembled lcd televisions, said its good fo the tv to be upside down for a bit as all the liquid flows in a different direction, making picture quality even better!
Dont know if its true, but this bloke was pretty positive.

Yes there are, as of July 21st most of the domestic stations will be going digital, all of the appliancies we shipped over work with oz electricity, just check your insurance when you get here, they may not cover uk appliances if they cause a fire!!!!

The OP is factually correct - there are NO DAB broadcasts; the Australian standard is DAB+ so the vast majority of UK digital radios will not be compatible and so you will not get ANY stations.

The digital format in Australia is DAB+ and not DAB like in the UK. DAB+ is not compatible with DAB.

We brought our 3 digital radios and they don't work -didn't check out the DAB/DAB+ before we left. They are no use and can't sell them either.
