Confused...first link dated Dec 18; they've no idea what it is.

Second link dated Dec 10, says missile failure Norway (Russian missile failure sparks UFO frenzy in Norway )...yet the video shows the pyramid over Moscow.

Probably. If this thing was there for hours, why did no news crew fly up there in a helicopter to have a look? Where are the photos taken with a pro SLR and 1200mm lens?

There have been losts of meteors doing those lights shows lately. Most people dont' get to hear of them as they generally don't make mainstream news.

For me it doesn't fit all the classic ufo criteria. It isn't shaped like a saucer. It doesn't have multi coloured flashing lights. It isn't moving quickly. It wasn't sighted by a farmer in a field in the middle of nowhere.

I'll hazard a guess that it must be one of three things:

a) a giant chunk of toblerone, the biggest ever seen. It would contain enough chocolate to feed every man, woman and child in india for 3 years straight.

b) an intergalactic troop carrier, shaped like a toblerone. Onboard, an army of 50,000 alien warriors were ready to wreak havoc on planet earth. But their mission was aborted at the last minute, thanks to the diplomatic efforts of our Earth Department of Intergalactic Relations headed up by Margaret Thatcher.

c) some video editing put together frame by frame, by a college kid.

We went through the Geminids last week - it was cloudy here but a biggie like that would have lit up the clouds anyway!

It looks almost inflatable. Like it's been tethered and being pulled along.

The idea that it could be a mile across is deceptive given it's impossible to guage how big things are in the sky from the ground.

It's a nice job but a bit too big to have gone unnoticed by an entire population. :D

I do believe that's wobbling slightly. No powered flight involved there, just a big balloon. Fun though.
