Croydon to become a City... Europes biggest Town is going for City Status ... So where should the Cathedral be built.. and who for Bishop I wonder if it will secede from London. ?

There already is a Bishop of Croydon! Or at least the position exists, however it's currently vacant.

Reading is also in the running to become a city in 2012... the birthplace of the Duchess of Cambridge, and apparently the favourite to get that status.

Croydon applies every time a new cityship is offered.

Sadly as a student I used to live in Croydon and there was always a great hype about this and Croydon was always turned down.

( to be a city, a place needs a uni or a cathedral OR to be granted it which is reasonably unusual)
