The Trumpmare is happening... Who will win?

Re: The Trumpmare is happening... Who will win?
Trump Executive Order Mk2 struck down because the court wasn't confused about what he was doing.
Worth reading the verdict, it's about as close to a smackdown of the president by a judge as you are ever likely to see.

It's nice to see Trump's words coming back to haunt him. It's the fact of what he's said that means he basically never going to get an Executive Order like this one past the court. He'd have to change it totally (as I said before).
In short, they are saying "you're a liar, and racist".

The illogic of the Government’s contentions is palpable....It is a discriminatory purpose that matters, no matter how inefficient the execution”...The Government compounds these shortcomings by suggesting that the Executive Order’s neutral text is what this Court must rely on to evaluate purpose....The Supreme Court has been even more emphatic: courts may not “turn a blind eye to the context in which [a] policy arose.”.... The record before this Court is unique. It includes significant and unrebutted evidence of religious animus driving the promulgation of the Executive Order and its related predecessor.
In short, they are saying "you're a liar, and racist".

Here's how confused that judge is.
Watson declared that "a reasonable, objective observer — enlightened by the specific historical context, contemporaneous public statements, and specific sequence of events leading to its issuance — would conclude that the Executive Order was issued with a purpose to disfavour a particular religion."
Therefore he wanted the executive order to be directed towards a religion but go so irritated that he could not find evidence to suggest it was.
"The illogic of the Government's contentions is palpable," Watson wrote. "The notion that one can demonstrate animus toward any group of people only by targeting all of them at once is fundamentally flawed."
In short he wanted an easy racist fueled reason, but failed, a bit like the rest of the lefties.

Saner, more sober, heads would have backed off by now - but then they wouldn't have tried Exec Order Mk1 in the first place.
All he's currently doing is depressing US tourist receipts.

It doesn't matter that Wilders didn't win (he was never realistically going to - and it really wouldn't be a good idea anyway) - he's put the Dutch and European political elites on notice that their attempted islamification of their country and continent via the policies of mass 3rd world migration and multiculturalism is over. The rollback and fightback by the unasked masses has begun

"The centre holds - Geert Wilders’s anti-immigration party does worse than expected in the Dutch election"
"It was supposed to be the kick-off of Europe’s year of populism. For months, analysts had speculated that Geert Wilders, the platinum-blond rabble-rouser who calls for the Netherlands to shutter its mosques and quit the European Union, might come first in the Dutch election, portending smashing wins for anti-Muslim Eurosceptics across the continent. It did not happen. On March 15th the Dutch delivered a vote of confidence in the competent centre.

Really? First Hanson and next Wilders - performed much worse than expected.

Keep burying your head in the sand champ. I know that people like you and your ilk are happy with the islamification of the west - but the rollback of that has started. Wilders increased his number of MPs. Rutte will move to the right on immigration and multiculturalism. Le Pen will do the same in France. Job done

Another few days in Trump land:
Continues to provide no evidence that Obama tapped his phones; Spicer and Trump come up with the ridiculous accusation that GCHQ spied on him which they later refute with a grovelling apology and blaming a former spy chief now working for Fox News for telling them they did that, GCHQ who normally never comment say the claim is pure and utter rubbish; refuses to shake hands with Merkel; video shows he did just that, tweets that the 'Fake News' are wrong in saying he did this, we had a great meeting and oh, by the way Germany, you owe use huge sums of money for defending you.

People have been flag waving and outwardly supporting the PVV, but have sensibly stopped short of the cliff edge, but my question is this. If the centre / left continue to ignore the voice of the great unwashed, do you think they'll stop short next time? What you've been handed on a silver platter is the chance to regain the full confidence of your people, only a short sighted fool wouldn't learn a big lesson from what should be considered a wake up call. Zulu is right, consider notice served. Also, I reckon the Dutch public deserve a pat on the back for stopping short.

Employment maybe? Well we know automation is coming round the corner to make a mess of employment, so it's going to get a whole lot worse in the near to medium term. The left are the ones pushing guaranteed minimum income as a solution whereas the far right are ignoring it entirely.
Immigration? Well we know why immigration has been policy, working age people are needed to pay taxes to pay pensions. You could claim that's changing, but the right wing approach is to cut pensions to make it balance - think that's acceptable? Most of it is good old fearmongering anyway.
Defence? It's the right that keeps on wasting money on hardware, when soft power is now where it's at.
Education? Student grants vs student fees - natch.
Health? Every time the far right gets their hands on healthcare, the funding for public healthcare goes down, and the rebates to the rich go up.
I'm kind of interested to think what sane, workable policies you think the left and centre should be pushing that they aren't?

It kills every other opinion you form around automation and makes the opinions of Steve and Zulu more and more valid.

If that is the message that the left are giving, then it's not sinking in is it? Immigration is at the heart of it, if as you say automation will destroy jobs, then why would people welcome competition for those jobs left?
Angela Merkel 'I reckon I'm gonna let a million refugees in'
Great unwashed 'Erm that's not a great idea, my job's already under threat, how about we get our own house in order first?'
Merkel 'la la la la I can't hear you, you pack of racists'
Great unwashed '**** you then you ignorant bitch'
That's it in a nutshell, I don't doubt there's a big fat lie behind it, but the right hasn't monopolised lying has it? They may as well hand out fliers to immigrants saying 'we let you in, vote for us when you're allowed' now there's a thing.

I'm not the one making the mistake.
Put it this way, I'm the one with the experts and evidence on my side. You are the one with wishful thinking and no idea of where these mythical jobs come from.
Also, I have the precautionary principle on my side.
You want to stand up an alternative PoV, you're going to actually have to prove your position.
