Same reason as there are loads of earthquakes when its not a full moon. The earth is constantly moving.

Aston, trust me, there is no link between quakes and the full moon....any more than between cyclones and the full moon, or tornadoes, or herds of wildebeest sweeping majestically across the plain.......If there was, people in jobs like mine would have more time off and a much easier life.

You could be on to something here Ast.

They say the moon controls all the tides on the planet so surely sucking the top off a few volcanoes would be childs play for it.
