Loads of people out here have them - especially out on property with acreage. Many just put up a big shed and live in that.
In fact i'd go so far as to say of all the properties i've looked at over the last month out on acreage, only 1 has been properly built and not of the transportable type.

For instance this is started life as a transportable

My neighbour has just had his 4th relocatable home delivered. He has purchased blocks around the area and put this type of house on each block. They come in all shapes and sizes. They can be purchased new or second hand.

The beauty of relocatable homes is that you are not relying on trades people to turn up and start / finish the job. Trades people do not want to travel for work if they dont have to so these type of homes are ideal for those of us who live out bush. These homes come complete and with a few connections to the Power / Water Tank / Septic. Your job is complete.

They are also a lot cheaper than traditional built houses.

If you check out the website the Op listed you'll see there is an option for 4-6 bedrooms on the left menu :)

Very interesting - this could be a way of us affording to buy!!!

Personally the most cost effective, way and giving excellent ROI has to be steel frame kit homes.

www.askhomes.com.au do some excellent designs.

We get their newsletters, and they have a 30 sq 4 bedder full kit... up for grabs , brand new ( purchaser has a illness ) for $80k !

Thats pretty bloody good value

Very Very nice ppl.... and awesome quality gear. Just email them, and they send you a free magazine and plan booklet and dvd thing.

Worth it just to see how they build the darn things.
