Transit lounge singapore airport
Anyone used it?
Terminal 3 about $50 for 5 hours, but cant seem to book it online?
Food, drinks, internet, showers etc, sleep pod.
Alternative to transit hotel, not sure which way to go.

Easy. If you want to sleep, go for the hotel option. If you just want your own space to relax, go for the lounge. Probably depends on your length of stopover. Both are very good options for the weary traveller. You can book the hotel online through the singapore airport website - they get booked up so don't assume you can just turn up as we've been dissapointed before. You don't need to book the lounge online - you can just turn up.

When we couldn't get in the hotel we used the sleep pods in the lounge - unfortunately there was an F1 party going on downstairs and we didn't get any sleep.
We use the showers if we're not flying as FFs and able to use their lounge, but tend not to sit around the transit lounge as it's not much cop.

I'd go for the hotel. You have a shower in your room, internet is free in the airport anyway and there are loads of food outlets in the airport.

For our reccie, we decide against this .... but plumped for it when we emigrated ... and we only had the 3 hour stopover. Depends on your thoughts though .... there was loads of food on offer but we had been fed to the hilt on the SIA flight - not that THAT stopped us The lounge itself was only a little more comfortable than the main airport areas ... but in our opinion it was worth it. We felt a lot more chilled than when we stayed in the main airport areas when we did our reccie. The showers were fab and very clean. We would definitely do it again!

We used the transit hotel in December.
You have to book a minimum of 6 hours.
Rooms are clean, you get a TV and a shower.
No food but there is plenty of good value food in the terminal if you want to eat.
In event of a flight delay you can extend your time (if room available).
I would recommend it.
