Default Transferring 8mm film to DVD

First, no, it's not porn.

Anyone done it? Just done a quick look-see and costs are about $2 a minute plus a one-off component, seems to be around $80.

Considered just videoing a projection with a digital camera but I don't think the quality would be all that.

Ta but that's 8mm tape, I'm talking the old 8mm film, projector stuff.
