Too right as well !! Why can't they go and get showered like everyone else ? Who else would like them to sit on their best furniture after a days graft ?

Man & Crocodile were never meant to live together in harmony, it would seem.

With the tradies, it's really all about the 7pm curfew and "dress standards". They aren't being "banned" as such.

Having said that, I do get annoyed by some of the dress standard rules and regulations over here. (even though they are much more relaxed than in the UK).

As an example - you can't wear a hat/cap in a surf club. Also, the whole "rubber thongs" thing. Why is ok to wear them up to a certain hour, but after that, you are breaking the rules?? Yet leather thongs - they are ok. Women's sandals - no problem.

Why are rubber thongs and late night drinking incompatible in so many places?

Good news and about time.

Note to trades:
carry some clean clothes in your ute and you'll be sweet for the pub after knock-off.

i'm not sure if this is still the case but a few years back some clubs /rsls required you to tuck your shirt in regardless of what you were wearing
that used to piss me off especially when it made me look ridiculous

Anyone who's ever been to the pub in question knows that all the money in the world is'nt enough to turn it into a snobby wanker establishment. The ONLY reasons any guys to go there is to watch the view of Eurobabe backpackers round the pool ( note to blonde girl 3 weeks ago Sat afternoon : wearing a really short skirt and taking your thong off to change poolside when its windy was a bit irresponsible ;)) , its real handy for a pint at lunchtime and its good for a sunday session. Other than that its basically a backpacker doss house which serves the worst pizza's in Christendom.
Its no coincidence this has been done at the start of the dry season when its getting busy enough to not need the people who come in the rest of the year. Will change for certain come October.
