Time to tell

Well thats me been here for 1yr and 4months:).I came over with my boyfriend and 2 dogs (ma wee boys).Last month i lost one of my dogs and i have been so heart broken i have not been able to talk about it:(.People keep asking how my dogs are and i cant bring myself to say one has died.I got him cremated.I thought i would have got a good 5 to 7 years with him over here,he was 10yrs old border collie.Sorry for the depressing thread.:(

I feel so terrible for you. Our dog is like our child. I don't think some people understand just how close you get to your dogs. Ours sleeps in our bed, and goes everywhere she can with us.
We had her microchipped today ready for bringing over and I found myself nearly getting teary just from that (she was so brave when normally she is a wimp).
It really does scare me all the heart worm and nasty ticks etc in Oz. And she is too stupid to know to stay away from spiders.

I hope you feel better soon, your other dog needs you now.

Re: Time to tell

I am so sorry, like you my dog is like my baby to me. We aren't there yet, but I have so many worries about by dog making it over there. Sounds daft really as so many people think spending all that money on transportation and quarantine is such a waste of money, I have had people say why don't you get rid of the dog. The 'dog' is though part of our family and he thinks the same and gets treated the same. In fact he gets treated like another child, and my children absolutely adore him.
So I can see exactly where your coming from, and I do feel for you.

I do hope you manage to come through this, at least he spent his time happy living with you and you gave him the love and home he deserved.
