Default Tick, Tock, Tick, Tock......

We "should" hear this week from ACS whether or not our skills assessment has been successful. Hopefully, there won't be any problems, but you never know

Our DIMA forms are on their way to our agent and he should get them within the next day or so. Assuming they are all completed properly, and that the ACS comes back OK, we will be placing our application for a visa sometime very soon.

Can't tell you how good that feels, after sooo long.

It's suddenly becoming real. Just realised our fixed rate mortgage ends next month so we're no trying to decide whether to just bite the bullet and sell now and try and rent something until we move. Or, do we just accept that our payments will go up for a few months and deal with it.

Think we need to talk to the estate agent and the bank manager and get the figures worked out

we should hear from ACS this week/next week but we have been a bit lax with our paperwork so we are not quite sorted for visa app - i suppose we had better get a move on or you will be off before us!

we are stuck in our mortgage lock in until next June but thinking that we can probably put the house on the market fairly soon after christmas anyway as we are expecting it to take some time to sell (nothing wrong with the house but nothing is selling around here at the mo)

kind of scary isn't it!!
but on the other hand i just want it all to hurry up so we can go!

to be honest i am just trying not to think about it most of the time cause it was kind of taking over my life! I am trying the 'she'll be right' approach!

Hi Gill,

God that must be nerve racking. I've got everything crossed for you. Life here is still much the same. Still struggling but it is getting a wee bit easier. My mum and stepdad will be out soon so can't wait for that.

All in all going good. Fingres crossed.

Cheers

Ginny

Dong, dong, dong, dong

ACS skills assessment approved this morning - YYIIPPPEEEEE

DIMA forms not arrived with agent yet, but he should get them any day now. Hopefully, our application will get submitted in the next week or so. We're so so so so so so happy. I guess, the only thing that can stop us now are medicals, and unless we're in for a nasty surprise, there's no reason to think they will be a problem.

It's in the garage Wendy (same thing here - bloody freezing out there)

We were a little anxious about this. We were so blase about getting the STNI first time, that it felt like a smack in the face when it was rejected. We were confident with the ACS, but never to the point of thinking it was in the bag .

Thankfully, all the hard work put in to get the STNI helped as it was re-used with the ACS submission.

So that's STNI done and ACS done, just the lovely people at DIMA to convince now and we'll be happy little campers
