Coming in late here - I don't have an issue with some loud calls - as long as I know they're not going to drag on - and they're clearly important and relevant to the receiver. I also don't mind dramas if the receiver has acknowledged that s(he) has listeners.

PP, I remember your dilemma and thought you were after the E71.

I adore my E71. What's the issue with the E72?

I'm going for the Iphone next purely for all the apps it has. One guy has a running app which records his run, maps it and tells him his average speed. And for watching video on the train. These phones are starting to actually bring wonders to everyday life - these are no gimmicks where the thing runs out of memory - or fails to browse a site.

I wish I could turn the clock back Badge, I made a wrong decision. The photo quality is shite, its my own fault really as I know I love media stuff so should have gone for something that takes decent piccies, yes I have a camera but I like having the facility on my phone.

It keeps freezing up, keeps telling me the memory card isnt working when it is, the photos I do have are hard to copy onto my hard drive, my phone freezes and plays up.

I think its fine if you just want to make notes on it, but for me I want it all - after having a go with an iPhone, it ticks all the boxes for me.

But as I say, I think I was too hasty and now I am saddled with this crappy phone for just under 2 years. I am wondering if it is possible to change phones and pay something without entering into a new contract. Would it be a case of buying a new phone outright I wonder?

Mine syncs with my work calendar but changes everything by an hour for some reason - a known bug. When I say it syncs, it does not seem to want to send calendar to dos from my mobile on to work outlook. The keys also seem very small.
I've put it in the cupboard for a rainy day and I'm back with the E71 which I have to say is superb.

My iPad keeps me dry, my iPhone keeps me in touch and my iMac plays my music. Yes, its gettin' better all the time

Horses for courses it seems. My E71 lasted a whole 1 month before I had enough of it. What a pile of rubbish. The camera quality is bad, the software is terribad and compared to any of the new decent smart phones its the equivalent of an elderly dinosaur with a gammy leg.

Its still sat in my drawer now. If anyone actually needs one desperately I'd donate it, but frankly it would only be on the basis that its better than nothing, and then only just and your not allowed to send it back.

I'd ebay it, but I fear the karma repercussions of inflicting a nokia on anyone. My conscience wouldn't allow it. I'd also have to admit to ever owning one instead of getting an iphone at the time.

Can you I tell I didn't like mine ? :)

Well I spoke to Vodafone this morning and they said they are no longer doing the iPhone 16gb and to wait a month until the iPhone 4 comes out and then I can have it on credit, paying an extra 50 bucks or so onto my phone bill of $69 - which is a bit much for me really.

He then had this super smug voice that was so smug I was almost wrapped up in a duvet of smuggness - you know the voice that says 'I know you are locked into our contract so you are stuck with us unless you are rich of course' that kind of voice.

He finished up with 'You can upgrade in Dec 2011.:eek:

I shall just pretend the iphone doesnt exist - thats what I will do and I shall hide behind the shame of my Nokia E72.:o:(

It was better than any other other mobile I have ever used. I like it has a keyboard and I don't have to eff around with a numeric keypad. Don't take important photos. It displays Word and pdf documents and I can read email. Coupled with GPS - it works with me. Nice screen. I like the fact it is slim so can go into a back pocket. Past mobiles were too thick. Width doesn't bother me.

But I'll get the Iphone next time for double the screen size and apps.
