Brisbane Zone 1 $2.65
London Zone 1 £1.90

How big is each zone though ?

My trip from VP to Brisbane is zone 7, so $5.70 each way for 36 kms each way.
That is about the same distance as Dartford to London. How much does that cost these days ?

I've heard a piece of string is much more expensive/cheaper in Aus/UK.

Yeah true. Things like plastic buckets for 70c or packs of three strip plugs for $9.99. They are difficult to beat

And yet other things are extortionately priced. For example a basic padlock fot £12

Ah the rip off airport parking. Just read that article and I was amazed to read that Australia has a Competition and Consumer Commission. Where on earth have they been all this time and what have they been doing?
