I saw iceberg lettuces (letti) in Aldi yesterday for 99c each. Exciting, I know.

....That's if you can find the UK - what with it being shrouded in a fog cloud and all

As I recall, conversation primarily revolved around:
  • Ready meals (and the lack there-of) in Oz
  • Love it or leave stickers on tradies utes
  • That incredibly stupid woman on Life in the Sun Down Under
  • Bacon
  • Coles vs Tescos
  • The quality of the clothes
  • Best suburb to move to
  • Whether electrical items would or wouldn't work
  • How much wonga you need to live on

The honest truth is that after a while it all ceases to be a 'thing' and just turns back into your life. Those that dislike it go back to the UK and those that don't just get busy living.

P.S. was mr angry Iamthecreaturefromuranus ?
P.P.S. what happened to that Frank Spencer bloke for whom absolutely everything was shit and for whom every single process in life went wrong ?
P.P.P.S. hello.

Whether plugs needed to be changed by a qualified electrician and if doing so yourself invalidated your insurance.

Arkon?

Well after 7 years here, I can finally say I've got used to Aussie chocolate, and (wait for it..........) when I get a bar of English Cadbury's Dairy Milk it tastes odd rather than delicious.

That's always a favourite - and one that only came up a couple of months ago.
