Default Teenage Kicks Is Shite

Obviously not The Undertones ... I am talking about some 'Situation Comedy' I am watching on ABC1 right now.

I love Adrian Edmondson and Nigel Planer from The Comic Strip onwards but fook me this scraping the barrel.

This has put a dent in my Friday night, I never thought I'd see such arse ... I even liked Filthy, Rich And Catflap ferchristsakes.

Saw the title and thought 'surely not?' Never heard of the tv show, I've been spending the last three weeks of my life watching all the 'Bonds' in the right order on Fox Classic, my life may be shite at the moment but the warm fuzzy feeling I get when I see Sean Connery and Pierce Brosnan makes everything more bearable Roll on Daniel Craig - ooooh yes please!

I don't think I made it past 5 mins.

Got a bit further with Whites; gave up around 15 mins.

Watched about 4 episodes of In Betweeners before I decided it was for people who are suited to watching Hollyoakes.

Brit comedy is definitely trading on a past reputation.

The latest Peep Show (series 7) is superb in my opinion as are the earlier ones. Personally I rate the Inbetweeners though. The Thick of It is also highly amusing and I am eagerly awaiting new input there. If Four Lions is representative of current British comedy I'd have say it's business as usual in Blighty.

Didn't know there was a new Peep Show! That's my weekend sorted . Inbetweeners IMO is absolutely bloody fantastic, cannot wait for the film.

Another Brit comedy I like is Outnumbered. The kids are excellent little actors.

And as for Teenage Kicks, what the hell were they thinking? Absolute crap.

I like Inbetweeners although I must remember to send youngest son to bed before it starts, had to explain what spunk was the other night!

Four Lions the film?

That definitely got Eddie007's new BD classification. It was dire.

I thought it was fantastic! It got a standing ovation in the Cairns cinema as well when I saw it on the big screen. So, what do you find amusing?

+1 for Outnumbered, The Thick of It, and Peep Show.

Four Lions was very good, but not quite sharp enough to be brilliant. Nice dark ending, though.

Big Bang Theory is up there at the moment. And QI.

Used to love Boston Legal.

Fools and Horses was my favourite British comedy.

There was only a couple of funny bits in 4 lions. And sadly both of them involved the slapstick of an untimely explosion. I struggled through to the end and wished I hadn't.
