That could also be a factor, but DD was born 16 years ago!!

I cried when the Lithuanian was on the podium, when Emily Seebohm was so disappointed with silver and now I'm crying over an advert showing young kids!

Well, I asked my neurologist. He says I have a lesion in the emotional centre of my brain......then he also said it was because I was a woman!:(:frown: Well he is a bit of a woman hater and tells very lame jokes.

So I don't know if he was joking or not about the lesion.

All I do know is that my eyes are either so dry they are like sandpaper, or I'm bawling like a baby. The closing ceremony made me weep- I caught the end where they were extinguishing the flame and ended up all puffy-eyed. Embarrassing when you are in OH's office.

Frontal lesions are well documented in pts with MS who have depression.... But whether thats due to the lesion or reaction to the whole disease isnt quite so clear.. Its NOT something that anyone should joke about...:frown: least of all him...

I would see your GP and ask him to assess you... And get a referal/ treatment.... Its widely reported that early treatment of depression in MS is essential... And what you are describing may suggest depression....

Me too- so I'm normal then? I never used to cry.

I found that I am very emotional around my 'period time' (I don't have them as I had hysterectomy years ago - but still have ovaries) and over the years this has gotten worse.

I began taking evening primrose oil capsules twice daily and I have noticed a significant improvement after 5-6 weeks.

Maybe worth a go?
