Default Take my first visit to the GP since being in GC...

on Thursday, with the most awful pain in my kidney which got messed about in Adelaide, & the GP said arent you going to sue them, I said I dont know, I was told I dont have case as I signed the consent form, he said not for those stupid doctors to mess with your kidney.
He is sending me to have 3 different type scans,X-Ray, IVP on my kidney on monday, he was worried, that it doesnt sound good the pain, now I shit scared that my lose the kidney.
Any way he prescribe the strongest pain killer he could prescribe, which landed me in hospital yesterday with nausea & dizziness, but after sitting for 3 hours in A&E with a lot of pain, I left without getting seen to.
I said to OH when I'm dying just call for an ambulance to come & get me, I get seen to a lot faster, then waiting in A&E.

I can believe, i have to get this ill, after waiting so long to see Julia, the GP was in shock when I finished telling him what they did to me, then tried to destroy my files, he said he would help, in any way he can get, but first of all I have to get better.
Such nice guy, he said I might end in hospital soon, not looking forward to that part of it at all.

Thank you Amanda, I need a lot of prayers, I hate going to hospital's, partly my fault for not seeing a doctor earlier, it was because, they told me in Flinders Medical hospital I should except more pains as my kidney was bruised, it can take about 6 to 9 months for the pain to go away, so I didnt bother too much, until thursday when I couldnt stand up on my feet from the pain, let's hope the doctors here, know what they are doing.

Please keep them cross until I have the test done on Monday, & they wont find anything, I like to keep both my kidneys, I never had any problems with them, I wish I never had that damn hysterectomy in Flinders.

Christ, Farideh! This is dismal and such a failure on their part.

You're really in my thoughts. I hope you get the resolution you need.

And yes, I think you need to see someone regarding medical malpractice. It seems clear you have a case to us all, and regardless of what you signed, you didn't agree to this.

Hugs.

That's exactly what the GP said, you didnt sign consent form for them to mess up with your kidney, I'm off to take the pain killer before chris gets home, he told me not to over do, I got bored & went cut the lawn.

Oh you poor thing. I really hoped that you were on the mend now. Good to hear that the GC Dr is a lot more supportive.

I think the Dr has given you good advice - concentrate on getting better and then sue them.

I have a friend in the UK who went in for keyhole gall bladder removal and ended up at death's door in ITU for a week with liver failure due to medical incompetance. He has just come out of hospital after corrective surgery and will need further surgery. His health will always be compromised. He is consulting a malpractice solicitor because the whole problem was caused by the surgeon sealing the wrong tube and then ignoring his symptoms for a week.

Obviously this is in the UK and a different op - but it sounds remarkably like your experience. He is doing what your GP said - getting better and then suing the assess off the them! His wife has written everything down, everything that was said, times dates etc. She goes to every appointment with a dictaphone because as in your case, his notes went missing.

I hope that you feel better soon - sending you postive thoughts and best wishes.xxxxxx

I'm hoping that once I've done all the test, the GP would say everything is ok, but I had the pain, since they took the stent out, but I just thought it would go away, but now that the pain is getting as bad as what it was 2 months ago, it cant just have been bruised as the consultant put it.
As they say god works in mysterious way, the Flinders hospital is getting rid of my notes, but the idiot for the doctor doesnt seem to think the other hospital who took over my case got the identical copies of medical case, & they dont need to lose them, as they werent the one who cause it, so I can always rely on that hospital that is what I'm hoping for.

It does sound like things have swung in your favour with the notes. The truth will always come out in the end.

I really hope that this pain can be sorted for you. My friend has just had his stent out, (came out of hospital yesterday) and his pain is much less already. So it does sound wrong that you are in so much pain for so long. He has been lucky to be put under the care of a very well known specialist who is trying to put everything right. The original surgeon was a 'general surgeon' who didn't have the specialist knowledge to know what was happening. Is this what happened in your case? Hopefully you can find some really good medical people in the GC who you can trust. They will have no reason to back up the Flinders staff at least.

Take care Farideh, my thoughts are with you.

Thank you Nicola, for your kind words, I really am hoping this thing with my kidney could be sorted out.
When I was in the hospital after my first Op, after I had that emergency Op, they connect a bag to my kidney to release the pressure from my kidney so the water would go in the bag, then I was transfer to the specialist hospital where they put stent into the urethra tube, to be opened up for the water from the kidney goes into my bladder.
so my first problem was the urethra tube, now that actual kidney playing up, well I don’t know what is wrong with it, this is why I need to have more test done, but saying that when I went to have more test done before leaving Adelaide, I had this girl she's nurse coming to me & saying that she knows me, well I said where from, & she said you are the lady who came to us for the emergency Op.
she said we thought you were going to lose your kidney, now nobody said nothing about me losing a kidney, so when I mentioned it to the consultant he said you know people like to make story up, she didn’t know what she was talking about.

Thinking of you!! Hope all turns out well for you.

(The "losing of a kidney" would be in most health professionals' minds, as a low, low risk, but is basically what they would have been scared of, should things have continued to go wrong down in the urethra/ureter/bladder route.)
