Surely I can't be old enough....
 

.....to have an 18 year old? I obviously am old enough but would like to think I don't look it :lol:

My eldest turns 18 today & looking back through photos I can't believe how fast the years have gone. That tiny baby that I bought home from hospital 18 years ago today now towers over me. I am so very proud of him & feel very lucky to be able to say I'm his Mum.

He is still in the UK so I'm really noticing the distance today :cry_smile: but on a plus side he doesn't need his father's permission to come over to stay now :thumbsup:

Time flies- my godson has just sent me a wedding invitation!!!!(Can't attend as it is in the UK and I can't afford to go, not would I wish to spoil the day for his uncle, to whom I used to be engaged.)

I had a moment like that last week when mmy eldest son celebrated his 24th birthday - I had one of those lightening moments when I looked at him and thought you're 24!!!! I'm 45!!! crikey I have a 24 yr old!!!! and then I looked quietly at him chatting to his brothers and my heart just about was bursting with love and pride for this lovely 'grown up' that I had brought into the world and raised. I suppose I ought to learn how to knit or something now lol
I hope he gets to visit you real soon, and I don't think it's a soppy post at all

My daughter was 18 last Monday. I know exactly how you feel!

She is well balanced, with a strong sense for justice, a beautiful voice, and a lovely bunch of friends.

I hope I can say the same after the party at our place this coming Saturday!

I do it every time my children have a birthday! I always used to laugh at my mum when she'd said similar to me :p

It makes you cherish every moment. Friends died in a car accident last night along with their 1 yr old, 2 yr old and 9 yr old. You can only wish that you children live a long and happy life. So glad I annoy my children with a kiss and cuddle every morning before they go to school. :o
