Supernova/Comic con (or whatever it's called)

I have no interest in this but my son is hassling me to take him on the weekend

Is it any good? What to look out for?

I'm sure it's going to be a day of open wallet surgery

My eldest goes every year. She is going on Saturday with B/f and friends and taking their younger brothers. You can dress up but you don't have to.Lots of adults do.It can be very crowded. It can be expensive. Some autographs are around $30 but neither of mine will be getting them.It is a great day out. They love it.

DD had a press pass to the Sydney one, as she was interviewing for APRA. Perks of the non-paid job. Lots of cosplayers and some TV stars too.
Yes, things are expensive but if your kids are into anime/manga/superheroes it is a good day out for them. Be prepared for queues and strange sights. Some of the costumes are amazing.

We took our youngest a few years ago, I drove him mad asking who they were meant to be as they walked passed us

We sat in one of the theatres expecting some kind of short film or show, instead kids and adults went onto the stage doing their best impersonation of throwing a make-believe fireball and shouting ''Kamehameha'' (Dragonball Z) We had to leave as my husband and I were on the floor in hysterics, our son was mortified!

Here's what you can expect
