Sugar flavoured potato chips!!

Saw the ad on telly, woman drooling over the spicy zingy zesty ripping with flavour vinegar and sea salt red rock chips ( crisps to those in the UK. )

Buy them and one crunch and I get a gob full of sugar taste:eek: Try another one, no definately sugar flavoured, son tries one, most definately strong sugar taste. Like eating crips/candy floss combo:eek:

Look on the packet, spuds, oil, random chemicals, sugar, then salt.

More sugar than salt.

Why the heck does everything here taste of sugar, and why are foods called spicy hot etc bland or sugary:confused: A new curry house here advertises its mild curries as its specialty :eek:

Moan moan whinge whine :D

Sugary crisps? Thats just wrong!
I find a lot of tastes so much blander in Aus too, they really don't seem able to deal with sharp tangy flavours, do they?

And yes, I am currently pigging out on a mountain of very salt and vinegary Walkers Crisps :D

Most processed foods have so much sugar in them its a joke.

We wonder why there is a diabetic epidemic in the western world....:(

Qld and Vic shops/supermarkets sell pretty much identical stuff.

However inner city melb has more choice of ethnic restaurants and delis.

Weve got a real thai and real indian here, for a weekly hit of real flavour:thumbsup:

I was referring to the bland thing rather than the crisps.

Particularly the (hot) chips and popcorn in cinemas. :yuk:

Yeah I know I can ask for no salt on the chips but I have to remember to say it. :D
