Moribundian

What things are better than you expected when you moved to Oz and what were worse? Were the people friendlier/more hostile than expected? Can you feel part of the community or do you feel as though the whole neighbourhood get together in secret and slag you off? Are the shopkeepers more friendly? In general then - plus points and minusses? (I never thought my good lady or I would ever consider moving again (especialy abroad) but you never know...)
