Streaming video - my experience

Re: Streaming video - my experience
Had a look and also couldn't find it - I guess they sold out (and at that price I'm not surprised)
This is their 2014 model:
Samsung BD-H6500 Smart 3D Blu-Ray Player | Home Theatre, Blu-Ray Players : JB HI-FI
I reckon you would get a BD-F6500 if you went into JB or TGG - I saw them on sale a few days ago

Game of Thrones piracy war: Choice says Foxtel has itself to blame for illegal downloading of hit show - ABC News (Australian Broadcasting Corporation)
As it looks like the attorney general is siding with Murdoch, Netflix really have a massive opportunity to offer the illegal downloaders (and illegal Netflix subscribers) a guilt free cheaper option in Australia. It won't give you Game of Thrones though. I was unaware that iTunes ever had Game of Thrones but very typical to see it going exclusively to the expensive Foxtel. I think everyone should just ditch their foxtel account. Things will only change when the 500 thousand people watching Game of Thrones on Foxtel don't watch it on Foxtel.

I now mainly stream content that I pay for (albeit to US not Aus companies) and that the UK taxpayer pays for (BBC iplayer)
If this is blocked I will go back to torrents
If that is blocked I will go behind a VPN
The status quo in Australia is unacceptable. 7, 9 and 10 are banned in my house and Foxtel will never see another cent of my money

Re: Streaming video - my experience
Hope you don't mind if I jump in with a question. After reading this thread I bought a Samsung BD-H6500 from the Good Guys today ($160). We have managed to set up Netflix and Hulu+ by changing the country to USA but cannot access BBCiPlayer or ITVPlayer. Does the country have to be changed each time you want to change from Netflix to the BBC?
I still haven't manage to download the bbc app after trying for a week.God,knows what I am doing wrong.

indeedy
Finished The Fall - superb. 2nd series should be good
Currently watching Sherlock on Netflix - not new but very good anyway
Martin Freeman is one of the best UK actors at the moment
Penny Dreadful good too - apart from the batty boy scenes

I've just had an Amazon Fire TV streamer delivered
I'll set it up and post how I get on with it
Local DNS settings should make it better than Roku
